EU and non-EU trade in goods

EU trade in goods

In February 2026, EU exports were £15.2 billion:

    • up by £0.5 billion or 3.7% compared with January 2026
    • up by £0.3 billion or 2.1% compared with February 2025

In February 2026, EU imports were £27.5 billion:

    • up by £2.2 billion or 8.8% compared with January 2026
    • up by £1.3 billion or 4.9% compared with February 2025

For EU trade, the UK was a net importer in February 2026, with imports exceeding exports by £12.3 billion.

 

Non-EU trade in goods

In February 2026, non-EU exports were £17.9 billion:

    • up by £0.8 billion or 4.6% compared with January 2026
    • down by £9.4 billion or 34% compared with February 2025

In February 2026, non-EU imports were £36.6 billion:

    • down by £1.8 billion or 4.8% compared with January 2026
    • up by £6.4 billion or 21% compared with February 2025

For non-EU trade, the UK was a net importer in February 2026, with imports exceeding exports by £18.7 billion.
