Corrections to the Overseas Trade in Goods Statistics (OTS) will be published for the November 2023 publication. This will be released on Friday 12 January 2024.
Today we announce corrections to the Overseas Trade in Goods Statistics (OTS). This will be published on Friday 12 January 2024 for the November 2023 publication.
Due to incorrect reporting, certain export customs declarations were erroneously excluded from the OTS. The issue was found during regular quality assurance checks of trade data.
This affects UK exports from March 2022 to April 2023.
The January 2023 to April 2023 data is currently provisional, this is open to revisions. We are re-opening 2022 to apply these corrections.
The corrections revise the monthly UK export trade figures upwards. This is between 0.5% and 0.7% for months in 2022, and by between 0.8% and 1.1% in months of 2023.
These corrections affect UK exports within the following HS2 chapters:
99 - Other products
Revisions to other statistics will be made in future releases retrospectively.
