All data and passwords are encrypted when stored and transmitted


The authentication system is based on username and password, and all passwords are stored in an encrypted form and all data is encrypted during transmission.



All sessions are controlled using cookies stored within the memory of the PC thus preventing another PC user from hijacking the session. Cookies can't collect information from your hard drive. 



JavaScript was used in the development, to access this application your web browser must be set to accept JavaScript.


Additional Security 

To prevent unauthorised access there is also a 30 minute timeout function between Login and submission, submission and resubmission. After 30 minutes the system locks

The Intrastat Online Services application was developed using Secure Socket Layer technology. This is identified by a padlock icon in the address bar and ensures that all data is encrypted during transmission.
