EU and non-EU trade in goods

EU trade in goods

In June 2025:

EU exports were £14.1 billion:

    • down by £1.0 billion or 6.8% compared with May 2025
    • down by £1.3 billion or 8.4% compared with June 2024

EU imports were £26.6 billion:

    • down by £0.9 billion or 3.4% compared with May 2025
    • down by £1.3 billion or 4.5% compared with June 2024

for EU trade, the UK was a net importer, with imports exceeding exports by £12.5 billion.

Non-EU trade in goods

In June 2025:

Non-EU exports were £13.9 billion:

    • down by £3.2 billion or 19% compared with May 2025
    • down by £1.9 billion or 12% compared with June 2024

Non-EU imports were £35.7 billion:

    • up by £4.7 billion or 15% compared with May 2025
    • up by £7.4 billion or 26% compared with June 2024

for non-EU trade, the UK was a net importer, with imports exceeding exports by £21.7 billion.
