EU and non-EU trade in goods

EU trade in goods

In July 2025:

EU exports were £15.5 billion:

    • up by £1.3 billion or 9.2% compared with June 2025
    • up by £1.2 billion or 8.4% compared with July 2024

EU imports were £29.1 billion:

    • up by £2.4 billion or 9.2% compared with June 2025
    • up by £1.2 billion or 4.2% compared with July 2024

for EU trade, the UK was a net importer, with imports exceeding exports by £13.6 billion.

Non-EU trade in goods

In July 2025:

Non-EU exports were £20.1 billion:

    • up by £6.2 billion or 45% compared with June 2025
    • up by £4.7 billion or 30% compared with July 2024

Non-EU imports were £33.6 billion:

    • down by £2.1 billion or 5.8% compared with June 2025
    • up by £7.5 billion or 29% compared with July 2024

for non-EU trade, the UK was a net importer, with imports exceeding exports by £13.5 billion.
