Proposed changes to trade data publications
This section is News
We welcome your feedback on the removal of pre-prepared trade data tables.
Using a single source will ensure updates and revisions are consistent

We propose to stop publishing a number of pre-prepared trade data tables currently available on the UK Trade Info website.
The same data will remain available through Build Your Own Tables (BYOT) and the API, which now provide greater flexibility and functionality.
This change affects only how some data sets are published, not the availability of the underlying trade data.
Using BYOT and the API as a single source will help ensure updates and revisions are applied consistently and users can access the latest information.
The proposed changes include:
- all monthly, quarterly and annual pre-prepared data sets on the Trade data pages, except Regional trade files
- all ODS data sets published with the UK overseas trade in goods statistics releases, except the Gold table
We welcome feedback on this proposal, particularly on whether these data sets meet needs that cannot be met through BYOT or the API.
Subject to feedback, publication of these data sets will cease from the July 2026 release, scheduled for 11 September 2026.
For questions or feedback, please contact uktradeinfo@hmrc.gov.uk. Please provide any feedback by the end of 4 September.
