Air, rail and SeaPort Codes

Air, rail and seaport codes are used to identify the place of clearance for UK imports and exports with countries outside the European Union (non-EU). They are not used within the Intrastat system (import and export trade with countries in the European Union).

Air, rail and seaport code list contains port names and associated codes included in trade data available for the most recent year’s information on the Build Your Own Tables and Data Downloads pages.
'Port' and 'Place of Clearance' definitions are available with other data field descriptions in the Understanding Overseas Trade Statistics Data pages.
Users of the Data Downloads pages may also be interested in the Location code list which is used to identify Inland Clearance Depots, Freezones and National Export System (NES) Local Clearance Freight Locations.
