EU and non-EU trade in goods

EU trade in goods

In July 2026, EU exports were £17.0 billion:

    • up by £0.9 billion or 5.7% compared with June 2026
    • up by £1.3 billion or 8.2% compared with July 2025

In July 2026, EU imports were £30.0 billion:

    • down by £0.7 billion or 2.3% compared with June 2026
    • up by £1.0 billion or 3.3% compared with July 2025

For EU trade, the UK was a net importer in July 2026, with imports exceeding exports by £13.0 billion.

 

Non-EU trade in goods

In July 2026, non-EU exports were £20.4 billion:

    • down by £0.7 billion or 3.3% compared with June 2026
    • up by £0.3 billion or 1.5% compared with July 2025

In July 2026, non-EU imports were £37.3 billion:

    • up by £3.6 billion or 11% compared with June 2026
    • up by £3.7 billion or 11% compared with July 2025

For non-EU trade, the UK was a net importer in June 2026, with imports exceeding exports by £16.9 billion.
