EU and non-EU trade in goods

EU trade in goods

In October 2025:

EU exports were £15.1 billion:

    • up by £0.9 billion or 6.5% compared with September 2025
    • down by £0.7 billion or 4.3% compared with October 2024

EU imports were £29.5 billion:

    • up by £2.4 billion or 8.8% compared with September 2025
    • up by £0.5 billion or 1.7% compared with October 2024

for EU trade, the UK was a net importer, with imports exceeding exports
by £14.4 billion.

 

Non-EU trade in goods

In October 2025:

Non-EU exports were £21.7 billion:

    • up by £3.0 billion or 16% compared with September 2025
    • up by £2.1 billion or 11% compared with October 2024

Non-EU imports were £34.4 billion:

    • up by £3.8 billion or 13% compared with September 2025
    • down by £1.7 billion or 4.6% compared with October 2024

for non-EU trade, the UK was a net importer, with imports exceeding exports by £12.7 billion.
