EU and non-EU trade in goods

EU trade in goods

In February 2025:

EU exports were £14.1bn:

    • up by £0.5bn (3.4%) compared with January 2025
    • down by £0.6bn (4.2%) compared with February 2024

EU imports were £25.7bn:

    • up by £2.2bn (9.3%) compared with January 2025
    • down by £0.5bn (1.9%) compared with February 2024

for EU trade, the UK was a net importer, with imports exceeding exports by £11.6bn

Non-EU trade in goods

In February 2025:

Non-EU exports were £26.2bn:

    • down by £3.2bn (11%) compared with January 2025
    • up by £7.0bn (36%) compared with February 2024

Non-EU imports were £29.7bn:

    • up by £2.6bn (9.7%) compared with January 2025
    • up by £8.6bn (41%) compared with February 2024

for non-EU trade, the UK was a net importer, with imports exceeding exports by £3.4bn
