EU and non-EU trade in goods

EU trade in goods

In July 2024:

EU exports were £14.1bn:

    • down by £1.3bn (8.2%) compared with June 2024
    • down by £1.0bn (6.4%) compared with July 2023

EU imports were £27.9bn:

    • up by less than £0.1bn (0.1%) compared with June 2024
    • up by £0.5bn (1.9%) compared with July 2023

for EU trade, the UK was a net importer, with imports exceeding exports by £13.8bn

Non-EU trade in goods

In July 2024:

Non-EU exports were £15.0bn:

    • down by £0.6bn (3.6%) compared with June 2024
    • down by £4.4bn (23%) compared with July 2023

Non-EU imports were £25.9bn:

    • down by £2.3bn (8.1%) compared with June 2024
    • up by £0.6bn (2.4%) compared with July 2023

for non-EU trade, the UK was a net importer, with imports exceeding exports by £10.9bn
