EU and non-EU trade in goods

EU trade in goods

In November 2022:

  • EU exports were £17.5bn:
    • up by £0.1bn (0.5%) compared with October 2022
    • up by £2.5bn (17%) compared with November 2021
  • EU imports were £28.5bn:
    • up by £1.7bn (6.5%) compared with October 2022
    • up by £7.9bn (38%) compared with November 2021
  • for EU trade, the UK was a net importer, with imports exceeding exports by £11.0bn

Non-EU trade in goods

In November 2022:

  • Non-EU exports were £24.4bn:
    • up by £0.3bn (1.0%) compared with October 2022
    • up by £9.3bn (61%) compared with November 2021
  • Non-EU imports were £30.4bn:
    • up by £0.7bn (2.4%) compared with October 2022
    • up by £2.7bn (9.5%) compared with November 2021
  • for non-EU trade, the UK was a net importer, with imports exceeding exports by £6.0bn
