Overseas Trade Statistics: Revisions to Historical Data Report July 201510 Jul 2015

Following routine quality assurance and checking procedures, Trade Statistics has identified some errors in declarations.
 
Given the scale of the changes, HMRC will revise the non-EU trade figures for:
  • 2 commodity codes for 2008 – 2 codes for imports
  • 6 commodity codes for 2009 – 4 codes for imports, 2 codes for exports
  • 4 commodity codes for 2010 – 4 codes for imports
  • 7 commodity codes for 2011 – 3 codes for imports, 4 codes for exports
  • 17 commodity codes for 2012 – 13 codes for imports, 6 codes for exports
  • 23 commodity codes for 2013 – 17 codes for imports, 7 codes for exports
  • 1 commodity code for 2014 – 1 code for imports
 
And the EU trade figures for:
  • 2 commodity codes for 2008 – 2 codes for dispatches
  • 1 commodity code for 2009 – 1 code for dispatches
  • 2 commodity codes for 2011 – 2 codes for dispatches
  • 7 commodity codes for 2012 – 3 codes for arrivals, 7 codes for dispatches
  • 37 commodity codes for 2013 – 26 codes for arrivals, 14 codes for dispatches
 
These revisions have been released today in conjunction with the latest 2015 trade estimates.
